The world changed.
The systems did not.
More has shifted in IT over the past few years than in the twenty years before. What once took months of development work is now up and running in days. Visualising data, building an application, connecting systems: the barrier has disappeared. But look inside the average business and you see little of it reflected there.
The same traditional packages still run there: closed, billed per user and set up so that leaving hurts. Systems that once arrived as the solution, but by now mostly determine what is not possible. Every new wish starts with the question of whether the package allows it, instead of the question of what the business needs.
The world changed, the systems did not
What once took months of development work is now up and running in days. Inside businesses, the same closed packages still run, billed per user.
Technology and solution fell into place
Years of configuring, integrating, migrating and repairing, laid next to a new generation of technology: the two fitted together seamlessly.
We thought: this can be done better
That is how this company was born. Build well, prove that it works, and repeat: step by step, at every business again.
Technology and solution
fitted together seamlessly
We had worked with those systems for years, on both sides: configuring, integrating, migrating and repairing whatever got stuck. When we laid the new generation of technology next to our own knowledge and experience, everything fell into place. The solutions we wanted to build for businesses and the technology that suddenly became available fitted together seamlessly.
What we saw
Businesses pay more every year for systems that move along less and less. Not because they have to, but because switching feels too big and nobody shows the way.
What we knew
With an open data foundation, modern building blocks and the experience to apply them well, the same business can run faster, cheaper and more flexibly. Under its own management.
What we decided
Then we will do it differently. No licence model that grows with your headcount, but a foundation that grows with your business. That decision became And Repeat.
Behind And Repeat
is Rinse van Dorp
And Repeat was founded by Rinse van Dorp, AI Platform Expert. He spent years on both sides of the systems this story is about: configuring them, connecting them, migrating them and repairing whatever broke. That experience shapes how the work is done here: first establish what a business actually needs, then build, and only expand once the first piece has proven itself. The articles in the knowledge base are written by him, and for questions about an article or a trade-off he is directly reachable.
Rather see and hear how Rinse thinks about it? In September he was a guest on De AI Storm, on Dutch channels RTL Z and RTL 7. The interview is in Dutch.
